Abstract

In India, the world's largest democracy, holding parliamentary and assembly elections has become a major challenge. Irresponsibility, corruption and crime are rampant in the course of Indian politics. If the nation is going astray instead of following the right path, then the nation also seems to be straying from the path of development and progress. Selfishness and immorality seem to provide the leader with protection against crime in order to establish power. In this, Indian politics is going through a very delicate and difficult situation today. The entry of criminals into political parties, increasing wealth in elections, corruption etc. is a big challenge to Indian democracy. How can democracy survive if lawmakers, law enforcers, themselves are getting into crime?
