The economic and cultural widespread globalization has transformed the world of literature too. Regional and national literary works are getting world platforms. The local requirements of the readers and audience are expected to have global standards. Glocalizing William Shakespeare in India has been a ground-breaking venture. The core literature of Shakespeare is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for people across the world. Indian adaptation of Shakespeare is a subtle blend of ‘Desi’ and ‘Videsi’ giving the audience a dreamland experience. Shakespeare's complexity of narrative, music, story-telling, and aesthetic sensibility categorizes him as an ace literary figure. Indianising Shakespeare is an endeavor to translate the intellectual potential of Shakespearean drama for Indian audience, and cherish the charm of his works in Indian context. It is quite natural and usual influence of Shakespeare on remarkable Indian literary works. He has been absorbed in Indian imagination in such a way that we study him with diverse perspectives.
