Melghat in Vidarbha is famous for malnutrition. There are more than 307 tribals in the state in Vidarbha. It has been found that infant and maternal mortality rates are highest in Melghat in recent decades. Since then, thousands have died every year. In the last three months, 119 deaths have been reported. This research paper seeks to understand the real situation in Melghat and what its problems are and what efforts are needed to solve them in a spirit of social responsibility to study, discuss and reflect on the causes of child mortality.
