The first battle of Panipat was fought in India by Zahiruddin Mohammad Babar in 1526, the founder of the Mughal Empire. In the Mughal period, women were not only respected but also respected in the royal family. The ladies of the dynasty joined in painting and cooking. But the condition of ordinary women was very pitiable. During this period, the practice of Parda, Sati, Johar and child marriage was started. The condition of the widow was very poor. Widow marriage was not accepted in society. The 19th century was very important in terms of women's reform as religious, social and political awakening started during this period. Until the stereotypes are destroyed, society will not be reformed. Recognized by M. Jotiba Phule and Rajaram Mohan Roy, they started working on women and involved women in social work. And gave women in the darkness of ignorance and injustice the opportunity to speak out against injustice. So today women are empowered. The contribution of the women's movement has given them the power to solve women's issues. And March 8 is celebrated all over the country as "International Women's Day". It was decided to keep 50 per cent reservation for women in local bodies as historic.
