Abstract

The present article intends to explore the prospects of redefining the victimized state of existence and their metamorphosis into revolutionary individuals, underscoring the power of resistance. The women characters Shanta and Mala in Thirty Days in September and Nazia in Where Did I Leave My Purdah?, are sexually harassed for different reasons in varied social scenario but their traumas converge to a common focal point. Not only their bodies are lacerated and mutilated but the barbaric act of molestation dehumanizes and injures their psyche.
