The production of rural literature is from rural to sensitive like the common man. Creative literature of a sensitive mind is a witness to the events of that time. India is a country of villages. ‘Dhag’ is Uddhav Shelke's last and most important novel from the 1960s. The novel depicts the rural areas of Amravati and the surrounding areas. The heroine in the novel is extremely dutiful and courageous. Mahadev is not a dutiful husband who was tied to her bed. Uddhav Shelke has presented the life in a genuine rural area through his novel. Kautik's life is huge on her husband, who runs to the aid of the contractor who works hard day and night in the field. In this novel, you can see the admiration for Mahadev after he left home.
This novel by Uddhav Shelke is a milestone.
