Abstract

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has become a world class thinker today. Till yesterday Babasaheb was considered to be the a savior of only one particular caste of India. He was being confined within the boundaries of caste, religion and country. The reason was that he was stuck by caste. But Babasaheb has done his job for all the people and especially for women by overcoming all the hurdles. The progress of society is measured by the progress of women of that society. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar insisted on women's education. He explained the importance of women education in many women councils. He introduced a resolution on women's education in all India council in 1927. He put forward and executed the idea that where also there are schools, people should educate their children. He guided and wrote on different aspects of education and higher education. He introduced new scriptures on women from the feminist point of view. The new weapon in the form of writing was given to women. Through this he expected over all development of women.
