Consumer protection has gained considerable importance in governance in modern times. Inspite of the institutions at various levels for protecting consumer rights, there is still much to be desired. The joint paper by Dr. S.S. Dahiya and Sri Birendra Kumar discusses in detail various aspects connected with consumer protection. It precisely deals with the performance appraisal of District Consumer Forum of Delhi. The article bases itself on the data collected through the records of the DCF. It provides a detailed analysis of the complaints received by the forum and the action thereof. It highlights the drawback in attending to complaints. In the end it provides some suggestions for improving the functioning of DPC.
