Globalization is truly inescapable. Globalization has increased the connectivity and interdependence of the world's markets and businesses. The globalization of the business has challenged companies to rethink not only over their strategies and structures but also on the necessary competencies of the managers. Business leaders everywhere face numerous challenges. At the forefront of those challenges are management of the diverse working force or the rigorous use of information and technology or maintaining competitive advantage. So we can say that we are living in an era of change. The perspective is now global and for organizations to survive in the future their perspective must be global. We should now talk more about global leadership rather than talking about just leadership because this is becoming a prerequisite for corporate survival and for maintaining a competitive edge throughout the world. This paper primarily aims at identifying certain factors that make a global leader, studying the relevance of each factor in an individual, and suggesting certain measures to inculcate these qualities in an individual to make him globally fit. An empirical study of exploratory nature has been conducted using an interview schedule to gather the relevant data which has been analyzed and discussed.
