Abstract

Citizen-centric governance is required to enable public administration to achieve its motto of ‘welfare of man’. Citizen-centric governance focuses on citizens, their needs and aspirations. There is a link between good governance and citizen-centric administration. The paper discusses pre-requisites and principles of citizen-centric governance; paradigms focusing on the need for citizen-centric governance; strategies of and obstacles in citizen-centric governance; and finally, makes suggestions for making public governance citizen-centric.
