The Government of Bangladesh has introduced Union Digital Centre (UDC) almost in every Union Parishad (UP) to avail information at the doorstep of rural people. This study aims to identify the role of UDC in empowering rural women. This study follows qualitative research methodology based on secondary data. This study reveals that learning new social skills, education and proper information knowledge which penetrates through UDC's use of ICT ensures rural women's overall empowerment. In a broder empowerment perspective, the income, profitability, skills and innovation and, as a whole, the human capital development of rural women by accessing UISC's ICT is presented. UDCs have been known as the centre for improving Bangladesh's rural women's behavioural and cognitive improvement. Women's overall mental performance suggests more ICT-intervening improvements in women than without. UDC creates opportunities for online applications for different social security network programs and transfers payments that help poor women in rural areas and eliminate bias and corruption. It also lets them familiarize themselves with the global community's political, social and economic norms and thus inaugurated a new era in order to overcome the cult that rural Bangladesh is perceived to be.
