Broiler farming is developed all over the country and recognized as a profitable enterprise. It is a means of quick return. No special effort is made to develop the domestic broiler market. The market is dominated by the traders. Reasons for export marketing are discussed. SWOT analysis of poultry sector is done on the basis of the findings of different studies. Four alternative modes to enter export markets are indirect and direct export, joint venture and establishment of overseas sales centre. Marketing strategies for a prospective exporter are explained. With the given infrastructural facilities, the country is not ready for export market of broiler. Investment in R&D, adoption of preventive technique such as HACCP should be undertaken to produce safer broiler. Care should be taken to protect domestic broiler market from imported broiler meat.
