This paper mainly focused on the market scenario of medicinal plants in India; marketing channels; pricing mechanism for Indian medicinal plants; top ten markets for exports; plant based products; problems in marketing of medicinal plants and finally given the suggestions for development of medicinal plants marketing. In medicinal plants market it was emphasized that it attracts several linkages of stakeholders including the conservation, propagation, cultivation, harvesting, post-harvesting, semi-processing and selling of medicinal plants. In the marketing channel and pricing mechanism it was emphasized that traders are of two types and the first one who transports and sells the produce outside the state/country and second one who sells the produce within the state/country. In marketing channels it was emphasized about various marketing channels for Indian medicinal plants. This paper also focused on various problems related to marketing of medicinal plants in India.
