Abstract

The present study was conducted in Baran district of Rajasthan State during the year 2011–12. Baran district is popularly known as hub of Spices in the Rajasthan state. Garlic is one of the most important remunerative bulbous spices and medicinal crop grown commercially. Results of the study shows that costs A1 to cost C3 were increases with the increase in size of holding and total cost was also increased with increase farm size. Gross income per hectare was highest in large farmers followed by small and medium farmers respectively. Net income and farm business income per hectare were decreased with increase farm size. The cost benefit ratio was found to be best on the small size farms followed by the large and medium size farms. The estimation of Garlic is expensive but high profitable.
