The sampled farmers were chosen using a random sampling procedure. A total of 80 farmers were selected from two districts, namely, Hisar and Karnal. To collect the data, a well-structured interview schedule was used. Pearson’s correlation coefficient formula was used to calculate the correlation coefficient between the dependent and independent variables. It was concluded that nearly three-fifth of the respondents (56.25%) had a moderate level of awareness followed by 36.25 percent had a high level and low level (07.50%) of awareness about protected farming in Hisar and Karnal district of Haryana. Education, annual income, and under protected cultivation, mass media exposure and socio-economic were highly correlated with level of awareness.
⓿ Pearson’s correlation coefficient formula was used to calculate the correlation coefficient.
