Abstract

The present paper focuses on sources of stress among teacher. It also highlights various studies done on teachers’ stress. The sample for the study consisted of 100 secondary school teachers on whom ‘Test of Emotional Intelligence’ developed by K.S. Misra and ‘Teacher Stress Scale’ developed by K.S. Misra and Poonam were administered. Statistical analysis of the data revealed that male teachers perceive more stress than female teachers, and teachers with low level of stress are more emotionally intelligent than the teachers with high level of stress.
