The present study has been conducted to classify the attributes of effective classroom teaching by applying Kano Model. Based on the students’ perception, attributes of effective classroom teaching are classified into five distinct quality dimensions viz. must-be, one-dimensional, attractive, indifferent, and reverse. Kano's five-level questionnaire and evaluation table were used to find out the students perception for identification of quality dimensions. The researcher has identified and selected sixteen attributes which have been categorized by the students into five quality dimensions for effective classroom teaching. This study reveals that out of sixteen attributes one attribute viz., Classroom's Cleanliness is perceived into Must-be category while ten attributes viz., Availability of modern equipments, Interaction of students with instructor, Discipline in class, Instructor's fairness, Importance of Audio-Visual aids, Pleasant atmosphere in class, Student's participation in instruction activities, Application of pedagogical tools, Instructor's sense of humor and Un-crowded classroom are perceived into one-dimensional category. Three attributes viz., Preparedness of Students prior to the concerned lecture, Allowing of late students, and Case Based Teaching are perceived into indifferent category and two attributes viz., Roll no. wise sitting plan, Duration of lecture are perceived into reserve category. Positive and negative students satisfaction coefficient were also computed for finding out the attributes that enhance the satisfaction, the attributes that cause dissatisfaction with their absence, and the attributes that are not responsible for any dissatisfaction with their absence.
