Abstract

The professions like, Army, Medical, Engineering, Industrial, Administration and teaching are of extremely vital importance such a highly specialized and advance field can only be handed over to a person who is highly knowledgeable, dynamic, creative, and mentally inclined for and interested in this profession. Due to the declining reliability, validity, objectivity, and discriminating power of the existing examinations of intermediate, graduation and post- graduation the government have decided to put a competitive exam in medical career.

In the present research paper researcher investigated some determinants which are responsible to qualify the Medical entrance exam. For this purpose the sample of 500 students were selected randomly, out of which 250 students were selected who cracked the combined pre medical test (CPMT) and rest 250 students who could not got success in the CPMT examination. The data was collected by using standardized tools and analyzed by multiple regression analysis.
