E-learning Shareable Content Objects: The Trainee Teacher Does It

The 21^st Century teacher is required to augment and connect learning via innovative digital methodologies as digital technology can excite learners and even provide an engaging alternative vis-à-vis the conventional methodologies. This is a statement often uttered in education circles. The questions before us are: are our teachers inclined towards technology? Are they aware of a variety of technological tools that can be embedded in teaching? Are they be able to create their own learning objects? Unfortunately, largely ‘NOT’. This paper presents a classroom adventure wherein, B. Ed. teacher trainees created digital objects in the form a Shareable Content Objects (SCO).
