Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to understand the effect of Locus of control and Tolerance of ambiguity on Job satisfaction among IT sector managers. Data was collected from 161 middle managerial level employees of age group 3050 of IT sector. Respondents completed three questionnaires on Job Satisfaction, Locus of Control and Tolerance of Ambiguity. Descriptive statistics, Analysis of Variance and Regression Analysis was used to assess the data. SPSS 21 was used to analyze the data. The result reported a positive correlation among the three variables and the regression analysis validated the result. The result is of utmost importance as it gives valuable insights in underlying the attributes for defining the satisfaction the employees. The study is also pertinent for the researchers for future course of expansion. The sample size and the sector of the study was limited, hence the result cannot be generalized.
