Abstract

Response of teenagers, adults, old age peoples, men, women and fire-rescue awaken individuals; will be different as per their common behavioral aspect & knowledge. People's natural inclination is to want to define a situation before they respond. So the lack of awareness & ambiguous response of the people ends with their life. In few instances, Fire rescue team also fails to assess/judge the correct scenario and their action may aggravate the number of causalities.

This paper emphasizes the study of common behavioral response of different individual under fire emergency situation. Results analyzed in the paper from fire accidents case studies, actual interview with different age men & women, experienced fire officer opinions and research paper of Mr Norman Groner, PhD, a psychologist, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Cuny.

A little step to study the human behavior in fire emergencies will definitely enhance knowledge of Fire service officer-engineers working in all the industries, multistory complexes, hospitals & city fire services as strong preventive tool by training the staff and also useful in the rescue operations.
