Abstract

This paper analyses the population distribution and changes in various blocks of Aizawl district. It focuses onthe time of most rapid demographic transformation of Aizawl district from 1981–2011, and the variation in the distribution of population, in various blocks of Aizawl district. The study shows spatial inequality in block-wise distribution of population which is related to economic development.
