Workers of any country are considered to be of a great economic resource. Regularity of workers’ employment, type of occupation, shiftof workforce from primary to other activities or diversification of agriculture, etc, no doubt, affect the economic development of a country which depends largely upon the number of persons, who are economically active and the level of technological development the country has attained. This paper attempts to examine the spatial pattern of workforce and occupational structure in Manipur on the basis of Census data. The unit of analysis is conducted at district level.
