Abstract

Informal and Formal economies characterize the Global South economy. The informal economy is an important source of livelihood for the poor. People in rural and urban areas depend on informal sectors to earn their daily living. Selling vegetables is a common unorganized sector that does not need any skill or education and is easy for women. Women vegetable vendors in Mamit are working hard to earn their livelihood through their businesses despite their disadvantages. This paper aims to highlight the socioeconomic status, occupation characteristics, and satisfaction levels on income of the women vegetable vendors in Mamit Town.
