Earth is the rarest planet to be full of life, it took millions of years to support such a diverse form of life. Humans have been on earth for few thousands of years in close cordination with the mother nature but it has been with the scientific development and industrial revolution man tried to conquer the nature. The effect of industrialization was visible in the early years itself but it was Rachel Carson who drew the focus towards the effect by focussing on effect on the birds. This article studies the causes of the extinction of the birds, international efforts to protect the birds by preserving the biodiversity. Nowadays every nation has understood its responsibility. India has always being in favour to preserve the mother nature so this article goes through the constitutional provisions, legislations, and judicial pronouncement towards the preservation of the birds.
