Abstract

Portfolios have been used as a form of alternative assessment in the field of education. As time has progressed, digital technology started to be used to facilitate learning. With this technology, portfolios have transitioned from paper to electronic form.

This descriptive survey study was carried out to determine the students’ attitude toward e-portfolio, to evaluate the effectiveness of e-portfolio as learning and assessment tool, and to document students’ concerns in the processes of eportfolio creation, development and utilization. Findings revealed that the students have positive attitude toward e-portfolio and they viewed e-portfolio as a very useful learning tool and considered it to be an important grade component in a course.
