Abstract

The onset of the fatal COVID-19 pandemic scared mankind; thus, there was a need for quarantine and lockdown. The situation necessitated people to stay at home and avoid contact with others; thus, paradigms shifted and created a ‘new normal’ of doing things, even in the educational arena. The transition in the educational strategies and approaches challenged the routine activities traditionally performed among the higher education institutions, including internationalization. The main concern of the study was to describe the holding of international conferences as adaptations for internationalization. The researchers hoped to evaluate the holding of international conferences and determine them as adaptations for internationalization. The study utilized the mixed method approach, particularly quantitative-qualitative where respondents were given a standardized questionnaire to elicit their responses through a four-point Likert type scale and an open-ended portion soliciting their perceptions on the strengths and areas for improvement of the international conferences. The respondents were the three-hundred seven (307) universal sample of participants in an international conference at a private Catholic university in the City of Malolos, Bulacan during the School Year 2021-2022.
