Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to identify the key knowledge enablers for Indian Institutes of higher learning in technology education, on which the top academic administrators should focus and also to find out their relationships and to rank them, so as to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of higher education using Interpretive structural modeling (ISM) methodology. The KM experience of Indian Institutes of Higher Learning in Technology Education could be used by other technical universities or educational institutions as one approach/strategy/guidelines to launch its own KM initiative. This paper is the first attempt to identify the key knowledge enablers of technical education, to establish the interrelationships among them and to recognize the high driving and dependency power of knowledge enablers which will help future top administrators in dealing with management of technical institution.
