Due to recent changing environmental requirements affecting supply chain operations. Managing product returns has received wide spread attention from both practitioner and academicians. This paper investigates the sustainable approaches leading to the development of an integrated flexible reverse logistics system. In order to develop sustainable process as a competitive initiative, various approaches have been proposed; including the calculation of ecological impact factor i.e. Green Impact Factor GIF for reverse logistics system. Finally, case example is shown to highlight the procedure of the proposed method at the end of this paper. This case example illustrate that the proposed model is very well suited as a flexible and sustainable process selection decisions in reverse logistics system.
