Abstract

In this paper, an efficient index reduction method is presented for linear differentialalgebraic equations (DAEs) with and without constraint singularities. Also, the index of the DAEs is reduced, whenever, the constraint equations are preserved and it is not need to repeated differentiation of the constraint equations. Numerical solution of these problems is considered by pseudospectral method with and without domain decomposition. Furthermore, with providing some examples the aforementioned cases are dealt with numerically.
