This paper highlights the process of construction and standardization of Internet Self-Efficacy Scale for adolescents. Internet self-efficacy is defined as the ability that one can successfully perform a distinct set of behaviours such as using e-mail, browsing the www, etc required to establish, maintain and utilize effectively the internet over basic personal computer skills. The scale initially consisted of 57 items after review and evaluation by subject experts, which were reduced to 51 in the first try out and then finally to 34 items in the final draft after the item analysis. The test-retest reliability of the test was computed to be 0.82. Content validity was calculated and the scale was found to be valid.
