Impact of globalization on the social responsibility of education

Abstract

Education in ancient indigenous in nature. society and the state we're not responsible for education of people. In 1950 article 45, a directive principle clearly provided free and compulsory education to all children up to the age of 14. Later article 21A and RTE 2010, ensured provision of free and compulsory education to every child in the age group of 6–14 years in an age appropriate classroom in the vicinity of his/her neighbourhood. But this concept of ‘social responsibility’ has changed drastically in a globalized world today. This paper discusses role of globalization on the social responsibility of education highlighting various issues and new trends in education.
