Quality teacher education: A prerequisite for quality school education

This paper is themed on the issues and concern related with quality teacher education and its relationship with quality school education. Quality is always demanded in field of Teacher Education as the teachers are frontline provider of quality education. The development of community, society, nation and universe is dependent on educational system. The holistic development of children of any nation is in the hand of teachers. School education has a symbiotic relationship with teacher education that's why competent and skilled teachers are the most important, if not the only, contributing factor for quality of learning and school as well of school effectiveness and quality of learning. From simplistic linear quantitative expansion of school education to qualitative transformation, the teacher education system in the country get mushrooming growth during the last two decades or more, as an area of overriding concern.
