Present study mainly dealt with the causes and consequences of Research scholar's unrest on Research Degree in Himachal Pradesh. The study has tried to explore the various causes of student unrest in research degree and at the same time has shown the various consequences of it on individual as well as their social life. There are some duties to be performed of the government, university authority, guardians and Scholars equally. As a result of Scholars unrest and responsibilities mold them towards anxiety, frustration and other mental troubles. Also the parents do not know whether their sons/daughters will complete their research degree. Soscholar's unrest always keeps the scholars and guardians in mental anxiety. Society also suffers due to this unrest because a healthy mind can think healthy. The impact of researcher'sunrest affects the whole society by giving the negative outcome by their work. In this empirical investigation researcher tries to find out various causes of unrest among the PhD Scholars and tried to explore the consequences of unrest among scholars. The primary data collected by questionnaire (Google forms) helped to find out the causes of unrest while interviews and observations of researcher helped to find out the consequences of unrest. The findings of the work will help a lot to make PhD scholar stress free and which leads them towards a positive direction along with their pa rents.
