In Fundamental principles of NEP 2020, it is clearly stated to emphasize focusing on intellectual comprehension as opposed to memorization and exam preparation, and also to motivate creative and critical thinking to develop logical decision-making and innovation. These learning abilities can be reached by disciplined study practices or we can say that appropriate study skills are essential for optimal learning achievements. This paper is an effort to explore various study skills and their importance in quality learning in higher education in this new knowledge society.
