Gamification is a method for enhancing the field of education by incorporating game mechanics into non-game settings. Although it is not a novel idea, research is still being done to encourage more companies, academic institutions, and libraries to use this approach in the future. It's not just that members of Generation Y, or millennials, are entering higher education and the workforce; regular smartphone use and gaming have also gained major acceptance. In this study, we will explore what Gamification is, give a general overview of its advantages and drawbacks, and discuss some of its applications.
