Abstract

This research paper examines the/earning style preferences of students in relation to their mother's status. The sample comprised of 149 students whose mothers were working and mothers of 601 students were non working. Student Learning Style scale by Grasha - Riechmann was employed. The findings of the study reveal that there seems almost no difference between students with working and non working mothers in order of preference of six learning styles. In case of bipolar dimenstion of learning styles, students preferred dependent, competitive and participant learning styles more as compared to independent, collaborative and avoidant learning styles respectively. Finally, it may be said that mother's working status does not show any impact on children's learning style preferences.
