Quality of education depends on the quality of teachers. Quality of teacher is reflected on how they are performing their duties. Teachers performance depends on their satisfaction with work and their emotional intelligence. In the present study, an attempt is made to investigate the level of job satisfaction among secondary school teachers in relation to their emotional intelligence. The study was carried out on a sample of 50 secondary school teachers of Aurangabad city. The data was collected through DJSS (Job Satisfaction Scale by Dr. Mrs. Meera Dixit, Lucknow) and EIS (Emotional Intelligence Scale by Anukool Hyde, Sanjyot Pethe and Upinder Dhar) coefficient of correlation by Karl Pearson product moment was found. The result reveals very strange picture that there is a negative and moderate relationship between job satisfaction and emotional intelligence.
