Abstract

The research paper devised model indices for evaluating the level of ICT impact using ownership and utilization rate of ICT facilities availability in institutions. A structure questionnaire was randomly administered to the respondents across the various departments of the institution and data generated were mined on lickert scale and analysed electronically via Smiths Statistical Package (SSP)/SPSS 16.0. The result showed that ownership and utilization rate have statistical significant on the level of ICT impact and revealed that the rate of ownership and utilization were significant to the availability of ICT facilities. Sex and educational level of students were not significant but age distribution is highly significant in relation to ownership and utilization of the ICT facilities. The research recommended that cost, accessibility, availability and technical no how should be made priority among individuals, co-operate bodies and government to help improve on the level of ICT impact among students to yield the yearnings and aspirations of MDGs goal in the k-economy era.
