The study was undertaken to investigate Guidance Needs of adolescents and the impact of high or low Parental Encouragement on them. The sample of the study comprised 200 students (100 boys, 100 girls) which were selected from schools of Moga district. Random sampling technique was used for selecting the students. Following tools were used for data collection: (1) Guidance Needs Inventory (GNI) by Dr. J.S. Grewal and (2) Parental Encouragement Scale (PES) by Dr. R.R. Sharma. The findings revealed that there is no significant difference in Guidance needs of boys and girls. There is no significant difference in the Parental Encouragement of boys and girls. There is no significant interaction between Gender, Guidance Needs and Parental Encouragement.
