Abstract

In philosophical belief the universe is divided into two worlds:

Spiritual world (Abstract world)

Material world (Concrete world)

The world is full of joys and sorrows. All those who are unhappy in the world are so as a result of their desire for their own happiness. All those who are happy in the world are so as a result of their desire for the happiness of others. According to Buddhism, the cause of happiness is virtuous karma. Bad karma beget sufferings in this life and rebirth in the lower realms. Spirituality is a world in itself; it has the power to change everything that is quotes as impossible. It treads us on a way where we meet the inner self and we can discover everything that existed in us but we never realized its presence. Spiritual practices like Meditation, Yoga, and Alternate medicine are the techniques that are practiced to develop our inner self and the spiritual activities – yama (self-restraint), niyama (principles), asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercise), prityahara (withdrawal from material world), dharana (concept), dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (penance) for spiritual life.

Clarity in vision, chastity in expression and purity of action are sure signs of spiritual progress.
