Science VS Social Science: Why Draw A Parallel in Academic Space?

The constant struggle between scientists and social scientists on account of being measured on account of their publications, citations etc has lead to their being pitched against each other in this rat race. The point is it is amply clear that the two disciplines are different in their very nature so why should there be any need to indulge in this competition. This race of publications has led to the quality of teaching going for a toss. This paper is an attempt to understand the basic differences between Science and Social Science with respect to their nature and aims in order to understand the futility of comparison in academic spaces in Higher Education.
