Computer based scholar management system is software which is helpful for scholars as well as the school authorities/college. In the current system all the activities are done manually. It is very time consuming and costly. In this paper computer based scholar management system deals with the various activities related to the scholars. In this paper, software can register as a user and user has of two types, scholar and administrator. Administrator has the power to add new user and can edit and delete a user. A scholar can register as user and can add edit and delete his profile. The administrator can add edit and delete marks for the scholar. All the users can see the marks. This paper helps to any school and college to maintain the scholar record. An application that runs stand-alone in adesktop or laptop computer. Contrast with "Web-based application, " which requires the Web browser to run. The term may be used to contrast desktop applications with mobile applications that run in smartphones and tablets. In this project we can easily update and delete file from our database. This application can run without internet connection. This application use database for store records of student and we can manage easily. This application use AWT and Swing components and database for data. Swing is a set of program component s for Java programmers that provide the ability to create graphical user interface (GUI) components, such as buttons and scrollbar that are independent of the windowing system for specific operating system Swing components are used with the Java Foundation Classes (JFC). Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) is an application programming interface (API) for the programming language Java, which defines how a client may access a database. It is Java based data access technology and used for Java database connectivity. It is part of the Java Standard Edition platform, from Oracle Corporation.
