Solar-powered systems that produce both electricity and cooling are among the most promising technologies for resolving the fossil-fuel crisis and severe environmental degradation. The widely available hydrocarbons will be used as the working fluid for the organic Rankine cycle’s power generation. The proposed cycle can meet the energy needs of some commercial units and industries that rely on cooling rather than power.
