'Increased level of environmental consciousnesses' has inspired to investigate the field of renewable energies because of various valid reasons and important implications. This paper addresses understanding relevant issues involved in renewable energies' utilization. For this, it has been found essential to examine current status of renewable energies' resources in India. However, India has been identified reasonably rich in terms of "renewable energies' resources availability" as blessed by the nature. We, researchers and academicians, need to identify reasons about why these natural energies resources are not being properly utilized. To accomplish the objectives of the study, we have explored various available literatures: national and international journals; proceedings of national and international conferences; authentic websites of government and non government organizations; and energy reports published by various government/non government departments and research organizations. Seven renewable energies have been considered: solar energy; wind energy; hydro energy; nuclear energy; geothermal energy; bio fuel energy and hydrogen energy. Solar energy availability has been identified tremendous due to India's geographical location and favorable weather conditions. Appropriate research directions for future study have been suggested. This paper may help in understanding huge scope of renewable energies' resources utilization in India.
