Among various nanomaterials, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) gained widespread attention owing to their exceptional properties. In order to fully utilize their unique properties in naonscale device application, appropriate dispersion procedure has to be applied. The carbon nanotube found in the bundled form due to very large van der waal forces among them.so it is very difficult to obtain a homogenous and stable dispersion of carbon nanotube in various aqueous and organic solvents. Many methods have been discussed so far to debundle carbon nanotube to form homogenous and stable dispersion. These methods actually involved addition of the impurity like surfactant and chemical functionalization of CNTs. These methods simply reduces the van der waal forces and help CNTs to get debundled, which starts to accumulate after very little amount of time. In this paper we have proposed the method to achieve a stable dispersion of the SWCNTs by using the solvent like N,N Dimethyl formide (N, N DMF). To achieve the debundle SWCNTs and homogenous dispersion, the SWCNTs will be first functionalized from the acid mixture of H2SO4:HNO3. The dispersion obtained is also characterized by the UV-VIS Spectroscopy.
