Abstract

The study analyses the collaboration trends in the DESIDOC Journal of Library and Information Technology for twelve years with 598 articles which have been collected from the website of the journal during the years 2006–2017. Out of 598 articles, 216 (36.12%) articles have been published by individual author and rest 382 (63.88%) articles published by two or more authors. From the study, it is clear that the collaboration trend is prominent in the journal. In the study, it has been counted that the average collaboration index was 1.93, the average degree of collaboration 0.64, average modified collaboration coefficient 0.38, average relative growth rate 0.29 and average doubling time was 3.40 during 2006–2017. The highest co-authorship index has been counted in the year 2006 with six authors which are 1661.11.
