Abstract

In the present age of information, it has been strongly felt that to provide better library services to the users, and it is essential to know the pattern of use and the users ’approach to various tools and facilities of the Library. No education system can sustain and achieve its laid down goals and objectives without a library. The role of the college library cannot be underestimated in the educational process at any level in College, which aims at the overall development of students and helping the teachers in their research and teaching. It is imperative to study the different approaches of users to information in the Library and relate these approaches to visiting the Library. The channels and mediums used by users are also essential to study. Hence to know all these details, any investigator needs to make a thorough study on the library usage pattern to get a comprehensive idea about the library system and the limitations from the users ’point of view.
