Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyse the spectrum of nanotechnology research for researchers who are interested in research advancements in nanotechnology & foresee dynamic directions by investigating its literature. By archiving data from the Science Citation Index Expanded and using the bibliometric technique at the national level, this research describes the nanotechnology literature between 2010 and 2019. Using the bibliometric approaches, we first investigated the general year-wise growth of publications and citations, and then analysed the cross-country comparisons of research publications (centring on the country's productivity distribution analysis), prolific institutions, and research hot spots. Furthermore, we estimated the relative research efforts and returns of the 10 most productive nations using the bibliometric indicators-activity index and attractivity index.
