The study aims to assess the awareness and use of electronic and digital information resources by the faculties of Nursing Colleges in Tripura and the utilization of these resources in the teaching-learning process. These resources have recently changed the pedagogical paradigm in all disciplines of knowledge, including healthcare and nursing. Parallel to many other fields, there has been a continuous trend of newer innovations in medical and health sciences, possibly in its widest-ever dimension, which obligates the medicos, para-medicos, nurses, and healthcare professionals to remain abreast of the recent developments and in the present context of newer information generation, this would be impossible without the persistent use of electronic resources. As for the nursing colleges, where the young nurses are graduated, the onus of acquainting the students with the recent innovations and discoveries lies with the faculties. They are to integrate electronic and digital information resources with existing study materials and use them extensively in teaching-learning. In addition, they are expected to imbibe in their students the culture of using these resources. This study attempted to ascertain to what extent these objectives are implemented in the Nursing Colleges of Tripura, a remote north-eastern state. This is the maiden study in this field in the state.
